The Khan's Palace, its windows assembled from wood and coloured glass without nails or glue.
The shebeke windows are the reason people come. Thousands of pieces of hand cut wood and coloured glass, slotted together by friction alone, so the whole lattice can flex with the building instead of cracking. Craftsmen still make them in the town.
Sheki was a silk town on the caravan route and it still has the caravanserais to prove it, one of which you can sleep in. The historic centre and the palace were listed by UNESCO in 2019. Eat the halva; it is a local variety and not the one you are thinking of.
